There is a belief that when you are born into a new body and mind, you are granted certain promises. A word for them is ‘barakat’ or ‘angel currencies’. As you move through the world, these promises are exchanged and multiplied.

They birth new desires and they call in other realms. Sometimes they are stolen and vengeance is warranted, though there are easier ways to reclaim what was once yours. The artists in this exhibition are wayfinders. Their works reveal how loss forms gateways through which dreams come true.
