It is a porous membrane through which desire, capital, technology and affect flow, transforming our realities in their wake. Artists in Bodies of Water plunge us into the murky undercurrents of the body and examine how these processes can leak, gush and overflow.

In our STREETSPACE, Athena Thebus and Chloe Corkran present Drippy Rock. This poetic installation reconciles two divergent paths blazed by the artists collective desires becoming one. Drippy Rock continues in the BATHROOM with an audio work replicating the fantasy and naivety of the artists yearning adolescent hearts. In the SALON, Jack De Lacy's 3D models of medieval Portuguese gargoyles conspire with an anonymous writers' graffiti that proclaims: "my lungs will handle what my heart cannot" to embody a kind of magical incarnation. De Lacy's work continues in the CURIOSITY CABINET where three sandstone tablets are laser-engraved with textual affirmations for a non-singular body. Propped up by resin 3D-prints of vocal tracts, they present a kind of 'bio-voice' capable of calling one's self into being. On our TAXIDERMY TV, Kieran Bryant drowns us in fluid feelings. Across two watery videos, Bryant identifies interior liquid narratives, situating wetness and emotional landscapes within the queer body.

This holiday season, may all your liquid desires be quenched.
