A Tit takeover featuring Digby Webster, with Laneway collab by Digby and Birdhat

This May, Digby Webster launches a Tit-takeover, focusing his painterly eye upon a RETURN TO REDFERN. Born and raised here, Digby revisits many of his old haunts armed with memories of the past, reflections on the present, a kaleidoscopic palette and a grabbag of words and sounds from his musical inspirations (think Bowie, Lennon, Cohen...).
In our STREETSPACE, gravity pulls you into Digby’s ‘Time Tunnel’, where paint jumps from the frame and lines and textures float in space. Creating artworks that are as bright, colourful and fun as Digby himself, this is your chance to ‘take extra time to reminisce, imagine, be. Past, present, future, are spacey concepts. You've come a long way in time - to be here now.' So slow down and soak it up! In THE SALON, you’ll find ‘Fragments’, a series of small works on paper that are pieced together to reveal something more, and in THE LOOS you can treat your ears to a personalised playlist of Grade-A bangers by the likes of Marianne Faithful, Bowie and Mamamoo. Out in THE LANEWAY, witness a larger than life mural collab with Birdhat that pays tribute to Van Gogh’s Starry Night (with a Redfern twist). Digby and Birdhat will be busy painting live from 12 May, so it’s another great excuse to RETURN TO REDFERN and spend time with us Tits in all our vibrant splendour.
